digital scrapping and printing

Posted on: February 8, 2007

Okay, so I LOVE the current issue (must be Feb/Mar 07) of Scrapbooks Etc magazine.

One of the awesome things in it is a comparison chart of photo printing services. (Including my much loved Winkflash. Though they’ve changed their shipping policy a little – now it’s only .99 shipping on 4x6s, I don’t know how it works for the other sizes. But still.)

But, thrillingly, they also have an extra chart, printable pdf online, focused on digital scrapbook printing. As in, page size, 8×8, 12×12, etc. It’s totally awesome, go take a look.

ETA: And by the way, Winkflash has a rocking deal on 9×12 photo books until Valentine’s Day: $19.99, unlimited pages (up to 100). Coupon code: WF28YT43

I’m not good at scrapbooking. I get into it for about 2 pages and then I’m basically worn out from the effort. 🙂

I’d be the kind to have one scrapbook page, followed up by 30 pages with plastic protector/slide in pockets … and then scrapbook page … and 30 slide in…

Those of you who scrapbook are patient, lovely and way beyond any of my stick-it-to-i-tive-ness.

Hey, ain’t nothing wrong with that! In fact I’m teaching a class shortly about that idea — a couple of pages, plus slide-in pocket pages. To me (though I do love the design aspect and pretty papers — pretty…), the most important thing is to include some of the stories along with the photos: and there’s no reason that has to be complicated or fancy. (Especially since most of the people for whom it’s intended really couldn’t care less whether it’s fancy or not. Just so long as it’s finished.)
