just now – effer dare #61

Posted on: March 12, 2007

I only infrequently get on 2ps, yet when I want to check out some digi stuff on there (see if Tia Bennet has kraft paper) and upload an Effer Dare — it goes down for 1 or 2 12 or 14  24+ hours. Hmph.

But YOU get to see my dare: the assignment was to scrap a photo (or two) the day you take it. So I used my Polaroid camera! (The one my boy got a hold of the other morning and took the remaining three shots in it with… now the last roll? cartridge? is in it and I need to get more film.) Yes, a real Polaroid camera. It’s totally cool (except that the film is a bit on the expensive side, I hope Costco gets it in again sometime) – the mystery of seeing it develop. There’s a certain stage where you can see the picture but the colors are still a bit orange and wonky — that stage looks just like the polaroids I have from when my husband and I were babies. Ah, the nostalgia. (Digi scrapping would be another good, easy choice for scrapping-it-today; I may do it again soon.) It turned out very Stacy Julian-esque in style, no doubt from looking at her Big Picture book the last couple days.

just NOW

Journaling reads:

just NOW
Had a trying past week-or-so. Sickie kids. Lost a $20 bill in the Walmart parking lot. Had a couple rough evenings myself. LET IT GO. Just be present, just now, just these people I love more than life.
High Points: playing with the new Play Doh fun factory together, reading some of Little house to A, cuddles, new words from B, curls & grins & joy.

It’s an 11×8.5″ spread — don’t know if you can tell from the picture. I’ve had some of these supplies and such for a really long time. Feels good to actually use them.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill kraft
Patterned paper: K&Co, Foofala
Letter stickers: K&Co, Colorbok
Word stickers, stamp: Making Memories
Brads, ribbon: Joann
Ink: Ranger
Pens: EK Success, American Crafts Slick Writer

Great layout Falwyn. Love the grungy look and the ‘polaroid’ look of the photos.
